The LEI Talent Show . . .

What talent we have in LEI, our Language Education Institute at MIU. We held a talent show a week ago. It was a super time.

To start things off, Ricardo, the other director, and I sang a few songs together. The first was a Christian song called It's Finished the Messiah Dies with a beautiful quiet tune. Before the second song we added a few things to our appearance, much to the applause and laughter of the students, as we sang Country Roads by John Denver. I haven't performed on a stage for many years, and NEVER with a head band or jean coat :) So don't think I was trying to impress anyone.. haha! Well, despite all the mistakes we made, it was really fun.

The students did so well, full of creativity and energy. Take a look at the photos :)

The LEI teachers did a dance return :)

A visit to friends in the MIU dorms :)

Recently MIU had an open house at the dorms. I went for a while to visit the students, and spend time with some friends there. It has been cold here, maybe -10F. I have posted photos of friends at the dorms, and also a few I took on the way, and other random photos I thought would interest you :)

Amy and Nasim and me :)
